I communicate the beauty and complexity of human existence by photographing family, culture, commerce and community. I began my love affair with the lens as a documentary cinematographer filming extreme skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, rock climbing and high-altitude alpine climbing from Mt. Everest and Alaska to Utah's red rock deserts. Phew. In an effort to see if I could stand still for five seconds, I focused my work on still photography almost two decades ago. Since then I’ve photographed in 19 countries on five continents, from Cambodia, India and Burma to Bolivia and New Zealand. So much for standing still. I travel nationally and internationally to serve my diverse clients. Salt Lake City, is home, where I dwell with my patient husband Kent, two Australian shepherds, an African gray parrot and a macaw.
